All seventh and eighth grade students who have a cumulative grade point average of 4.0 or higher after the third 9-weeks will be invited to apply for this prestigious honor.  Invitations/application packets will be passed out no later than mid April for potential membership in the 2019-2020 school year.  The application packet must be turned in to be considered for membership.
Acceptance/Denial letters for the 2019-2020 chapter, will be passed out the week of April 22-26, 2019.  A practice for induction will be held after school May 2, 2019 at 2:35-3:30, in the cafeteria.  Induction will be held at the Magnolia Event Center @ 6:30 PM on May 6, 2019.
The NJHS focuses on five criteria: scholarship, leadership, service, citizenship, and character.
A panel of faculty members will review each candidate’s packet and essay. Students who are chosen as active members of BBJH's National Junior Honor Society will then take part in the spring induction ceremony. Active student members will be expected to maintain their GPA, demonstrate the highest level of leadership, citizenship, and character, and to complete the minimum of 20 community service hours throughout the year, in order to maintain membership.
