Welcome to NJHS 21-22
Our first meeting will be August 17 at 6:45 a.m. in the BBJH Library. Please make plans to attend as we will be rolling out the calendar, plans and election process for NJHS officers.
If you have not already signed up for the Remind app to receive messages, please click the tab to the right for your exact code according to your student's current grade level. Parents are welcome to join as well!
Bear Branch Junior High National Honor Society
All seventh and eighth grade students who have a cumulative grade point average of 4.0 or higher after the second 9-weeks will be invited to apply for this prestigious honor. Invitations/application packets will be passed out no later than late January for potential membership in the 2022-2023 school year. The application packet must be turned in to be considered for membership.
The NJHS focuses on five criteria: scholarship, leadership, service, citizenship, and character.
A panel of faculty members will review each candidate’s packet and essay. Students who are chosen as active members of BBJH's National Junior Honor Society will then take part in the spring induction ceremony. Active student members will be expected to maintain their GPA, demonstrate the highest level of leadership, citizenship, and character, and to complete the minimum of 20 community service hours throughout the year, in order to maintain membership.
