Mr. Joshua Jacobs
I am thrilled to begin another phenomenal year at Bear Branch Junior High! It is a true privilege to serve the incredible students, staff, and families of our community as principal.
My journey in education began in Wichita Falls, Texas, where I worked as both a teacher and coach. In 2019, I had the honor of joining Magnolia ISD, where I served in various roles at Magnolia High School, including teacher, coach, and academic coordinator. In 2022, I transitioned to Bear Branch Junior High as an assistant principal, and in 2025, I was honored to step into the role of principal.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in History with a minor in Sociology from Midwestern State University, as well as a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Texas Tech University. I am currently pursuing my doctorate in educational leadership from Texas Tech as well.
Outside of school, I am incredibly grateful for my family. My wife, Monica, is also an educator and currently teaches 5th grade math at Magnolia Intermediate. We are the proud parents of two wonderful sons, Lane and Logan, who keep us busy and bring joy to our lives every day.
As we look ahead to this school year, I am excited for the opportunities that lie before us. Together, we will continue to build a culture of academic excellence, strong relationships, and meaningful growth for every student. I look forward to partnering with our dedicated staff, engaged families, and outstanding students to make this another unforgettable year at BBJH!
